The Asian Downstream Summit (ADS) Awards represents a benchmark of excellence for those working in the oil & gas industry. Running alongside the ARTC conference, it is the most prominent awards ceremony for oil & gas in the Asia Pacific industry calendar.

Leader of The Year Award
As innovation transforms the way we do businesses, the industry needs leaders who can adapt to these evolving challenges, and take advantage of the opportunities to optimise their business performance.
The Leader of the Year award will commend an outstanding oil and gas leader who has demonstrated exceptional success at the top of their organisation in mentorship, management and operational excellence.
Female Engineer Award
The new Female Engineer Award is a continuation of the Asian Downstream Summit’s commitment towards greater diversity in the oil and gas industry. It will recognise a female oil and gas professional who has shown outstanding promise in her field. The winner of this award is someone who has made, and continues to contribute tremendous value to her organisation's performance and culture.
Young Engineer Award
The Young Engineer of the Year award will recognise a young engineer who has shown potential to become a key contributor to the future development of the industry, showcasing outstanding performance and initiative in his/her organisation. The winner of this award is someone who has a strong potential to reach top management level.
Downstream Project of the Year
The Asian Downstream Summit holds an established record of bringing together the most senior players in refining, production and petrochemicals. The ideal candidate for this award is the most ambitious, game-changing project in the regional refining and petrochemicals industry.
Sustainable Technology of the Year
We see, now more than ever, how sustainability will determine the future of the oil and gas industry. The Sustainable Technology of the Year Award will recognise a solution that has used technology to align commercial performance with a positive impact on the environment. The winner is an organisation that has provided innovative and business-efficient means for oil and gas companies to enhance their performance and improve their ecological standards.
Downstream Plant of the Year
There's no escaping the need and importance of sustainability, and more plants are making the switch to embrace cleaner technologies.
The Downstream Plant of the Year Award seeks to recognise the plant that has made strides to be the industry's best example of leadership in sustainability.
Innovations in Oil & Gas Digital Technology
This award seeks to recognise the best "digital technology" for delivering operational efficiencies or excellence in refining, petrochemicals, and chemicals. The winner of this award has consistently been able to help operators reach highest levels of efficiency while increasing productivity, minimising risks, increasing safety, and controlling costs.

We invite a panel of judges to take part in our selection process each year. The process remains 100% independent, impartial and with no payment by any organisation or individual. The decisions made by our global and regional judging panel is final.
Judging Factors include:
- How innovative is the project or technology?
- How valuable is the outcome to the oil & gas industry?
- Is it technology proven yet or still being tested or in planning stage?
- Will it solve an important problem that will help the oil & gas industry?
- How difficult was it from a technical or industry change perspective?
