Rules for Submission of Abstracts
- Submission deadline is Friday, 11 April 2025
- The presenting author must be listed as the first author.
- The presenting author is required to ensure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract before submission.
- Submitted abstracts should include non-published data.
- Abstracts previously presented will NOT be accepted.
- All abstracts should include Title, Overview, Purpose, Method/Results, Conclusion, submitted and presented in clear English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication.
- Prior to submission all relevant approvals, clearance, and availability to attend must be in place.
- You may submit more than 1 abstract. However, presenters that are accepted for oral presentation will be permitted to give only 1 presentation.
- Abstract Topic – abstracts must be allocated to a specific Theme and Topic. For a complete listing of abstract Themes and Topics, please view it HERE.
- Technology case studies will be prioritised
- Abstracts presented with customers will be prioritised
- We highly encourage the abstract to be on new technologies, innovative projects, cutting-edge research, and recent developments that address critical challenges and opportunities in refining, petrochemicals, and energy transformation
- Please ensure the abstract is valuable to the audience
- Sales pitches will be rejected.
- Criteria for grading are as follows:
- Thematic and Regional Relevance
- Significance and Impact
- Originality and Level of Innovativeness
- Practicality and Contribution
- Avoid Biasness and Commercialism
- Overall Quality of Content
- Important note: Abstract submission is free of charge, however, speakers' accepted abstracts would need to pay a speaker fee if not exhibiting/sponsoring at the event.
Rules for Presenting of Abstracts
- If accepted, presentation slides should be shared with the organising team by Monday, 13 October 2025.
- Each technical presentation is strictly limited to 20 minutes only. Inclusive of question and answer from the audience (optional).
- Each presentation must have no more than 16 slides
- No company introductions allowed during presentations
- Ratio for PPT is 16:9
- We recommend keeping text to a minimum
- Ensure any text is in large font
- Use graphs, charts, and/or tables
- Ensure contents have a logical flow
