He is the Director of Center for Nanotechnology and Sustainability. He is a point of contact for the Ministry of Sustainability and Environment (MSE) Singapore on the circular economy competency and skillsets. He is the Dy Chairman of Sustainability Cluster at the Institution of Engineers Singapore (IES), and also an advisor to the IES Green Plan 2030. He is a member of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) committee at the Singapore Institute of Directors. He is a member of ISO technical committee on Circular Economy. He is a member of the Environment & Resources Standards Committees of Singapore Manufacturing Federation (SMF), Singapore Chemical Industry Council (SCIC) and Standards Development Organization (SDO).
