Thomas is a Senior Advisor at the Alliance to End Plastic Waste. He provides advice to the senior leadership team and heads the Singapore unit to collaborate and support local stakeholders and entities to achieve its mission in Singapore and internationally. Prior to joining the Alliance, Thomas had a long-standing career in Shell, and had several international assignments across the world including Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, China, Australia, Qatar and Singapore. He has worked in different fields including engineering and technology, project and business development, venture set- up, and global business leadership. After nearly 35 years in Shell, he retired in 2016. He has also been a Senior Advisor at Economic Development Innovations Singapore. He is an Adjunct Associate Professor at the Nanyang Technological University, part-time lecturing there as well as the Singapore Management University. Thomas has been a board member of Singapore LNG Corporation, Shell Eastern Trading (Pte.) Ltd. and Yueyang Sinopec Shell Gasification Co. Ltd. He is currently a board member of Abaxx Singapore Pte. Ltd.
