In my current role, I am responsible for developing and executing key commercial strategies for ammonia business, including managing existing grey trading business and building new low carbon (blue/green) in Energy (Marine Fuels/Refining), Power Generation, Cracking, Industrial Chemicals, and Fertilizers globally. Besides my responsibilities in OCI, I am also currently on Board of Directors for Ammonia Energy Association, Board of Steering Committee for North America TFI’s Ammonia Certification Initiative and Advisory Board of Argus Clean Ammonia Committee. A bit more about my background, I have over 20 years of procurement & commodity trading in Ammonia, Hydrogen, Nat gas, Fertilizers, Crude Oil, Fuels, Bitumen, Biomass, Woodchips and other pulp/paper/board, petrochemicals, inorganic chemicals. Prior to OCI, I was the Global Head of Procurement and Supply Chain in RGE, and I was responsible for long term supply agreements, equity-for-offtakes, JVs/M&As, and key project procurement of large scale engineering equipment for production plants while driving supply chain transformation (during Covid) in RGE. But Majority of my ammonia trading and commercial experience came from my years in Koch Industries where I cover the East of Suez markets. One the key reasons why I am back in Ammonia is the potential exponential growth in the market as well as paving the world for a sustainable future.
