Pratap is the Founder, President & CEO of Ingenero. At Ingenero, Pratap has played a key role in technically and commercially developing the innovative concept of remote process engineering, process safety management and process plant tracking & support, after initially conceptualizing it in 2002, a prescient activity then. He was instrumental in developing and applying the Digital Twin concept for Chemical Process Manufacturing, as a key enabler for Digitalization in their operations. He drove the early development of teams with Data Engineering, ML Engineering and Decision engineering skills, successfully utilizing advanced analytics and technologies like first principle-based modeling, Machine Learning, Applied AI, smart data platforms and IIoT/P to successfully deploy value added digital solutions to address business use cases, to improve efficiency, reliability, safety and sustainability, for Oil & Gas, Energy and Chemical Process Manufacturers globally. Prior to Ingenero, Pratap has held key positions, including Vice President at ChemShare and EVP & Management Board member at Cadila Pharmaceuticals & Chemicals. He has considerable experience managing large teams and diverse operations in Chemical manufacturing, Engineering and Information Technology. Pratap has developed and culminated several alliances, joint ventures and licensing arrangements with companies in the USA, Europe, Japan, India and Australia for the commercialization of innovative technologies in the chemicals and biotechnology areas. Pratap also has several years of experience, developing software & consulting services business in the energy and chemicals industry in the USA, Japan, Germany, Holland, France, Asia Pacific, Venezuela and Colombia. Pratap was part of the pioneering team in process simulation and optimization applications in the eighties in Houston and has since then continued to drive the development and deployment of technology-based services and solutions to the process industry globally. Pratap has a Ph.D from Rice University, Houston and a B.Tech (Institute Medalist) from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bombay, both in Chemical Engineering.
