Daniel Phan is a Regional Manager, Singapore for Asset Performance Networks. He has more than 25 years of experience in Turnaround and Capital Project Management consultancy in the oil & gas and petrochemical industries. In his role with AP-Networks, Daniel has undertaken more than 70 (i)T-AP Assurance Review Workshops and Benchmarking Engagements. He also plays an active part in helping clients implement work processes and project integration plans throughout the execution of various AP-Networks services—including Project Excellence and Assurance Consulting (PEAC), Risk Based Scope Review (RBSR), Project Integration Workshop, Risk / Lessons Learned workshop and Work Process Review. By working to align team members on new processes and solutions, he ensures that clients have the tools to put insights into action. Prior to joining AP-Networks, Daniel worked as a Project Management Consultant assisting clients in understanding their FEL readiness for large capital projects. He has evaluated more than 50 international projects: from small plant-based projects (USD 500 mil). In addition, he has acted as Owner’s Engineer in Technical Due Diligence work advising financial lenders and institutions on Project Risks and carried out Construction Monitoring on site to ascertain project completion status. He also assisted various expert witnesses and lawyers in legal work pertaining to capital projects disputes between contractors and owners. Prior to that, he was working as a Reliability Engineer undertaking Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (RAM) studies of various offshore assets. Daniel holds a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science and Engineering, both from Imperial College of Science, Technology and Medicine.
