Advisory Committee Confirms Theme for ADS, ARTC 2022
The theme for this year’s Asian Downstream Summit (ADS) and Asian Refining Technology Conference (ARTC) will be “Reconfiguring the Industry for the Global Energy Transition”.
This was announced by the conference and exhibition’s Advisory Committee, after they confirmed their decision on Tuesday, 3 March. Topics along the announced theme include explorations into ways that refiners can successfully integrate sustainability into their operations, and achieve sustainable operational excellence in ever-evolving market conditions.
Members of the Committee include:
- Purandar Chakravarty, Head of Innovation & Alternate Energy, Nayara Energy
- Napaporn Ratanapoka, Vice President – Refinery, PTT Global Chemicals PCL
- Andy Saunders-Tack, Director – Asia Pacific Operations, Becht
- Ibrahim Al-Syed, Director of Digital Transformation Manufacturing, Celenese
Said Asian Downstream Insights editor Natalie Chew: “The announcement of this theme is especially pertinent given what we observe in the downstream oil and gas industry today. We are seeing, more so than ever, pressure for refineries to embrace the energy transition and incorporate more sustainable, alternate fuels and resources.
Like it or not, the industry is changing, and we need to make sure we are ready for the future and the opportunities this will present to industry stakeholders. I believe that this year’s conference will provide a platform for insightful discussions and collaboration.”
ADS and ARTC will be held as a physical event at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Singapore, from 26 to 27 October.
