PTTEP signs MoU with Kasetsart University on E&P research and professional development, leading to advance CCS technology in Thailand
Mrs. Supamittra Danpanich (3rd from left), Senior Vice President for Subsurface Technical Solutions Division, PTT Exploration and Production Public Company Limited (PTTEP) and Associate Professor Dr. Apisit Songsasen (4th from left), Dean of Faculty of Science, Kasetsart University, have jointly signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) under the “PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect” project. The collaboration is aimed to carry out research study on geoscience and petroleum engineering, develop professionals in petroleum exploration and production, and explore for carbon storage sites. These are pivotal to driving the Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) technology development, leading Thailand to a low-carbon society. The signing ceremony was held at Kasetsart University, Bangkok.
Under the PTTEP Subsurface University Energy Connect scheme, PTTEP has already signed MoU with several universities including Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Khon Kaen University, and Mahidol University. The company also plans to extend similar academic collaboration to others.
