GC expands production capacity in Asia with Matrix Polymers

PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC) has expanded into the specialty chemicals sector in a bid to respond to the changing needs of customers.

In 2018, the company acquired a 49% stake in Revolve Group Limited (RGL), which produces materials for rotational moulding in six production bases around the world. Most recently, it opened its manufacturing plant in Thailand under the name of Matrix Polymers Thai Company Limited (Matrix Polymers Thai or MPT).

Since then, MPT has played a crucial role in the rotational moulding industry, as a manufacturer and supplier of powdered colours for plastic compounds. The company has also organised technical seminars for customers globally to reinforce the readiness of factories in Thailand, both in terms of quality and production capacity.

The opening of MPT’s plant in Thailand showcases GC and RGL’s expansion plan, bolstering their manufacturing base for centrifugal plastic compounds in Asia. By catering to the increasing demand for high-quality plastics in the Asia Pacific region, GC aims to capitalise on the company’s continuous business growth in the region.
